Dunfrezen is a small boutique company dedicated to curating and producing the highest quality handcrafted goods possible. Our growing line includes bags and other products produced from sustainable, durable, and up-cycled fabric for scuba diving, climbing, yoga, freediving, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, and other sports. We use ethically sourced materials in all of our goods and a percentage of each purchase is donated to charity to help protect marine environments.
Our brand name is portmanteau created from the town we lived in when we came up with the idea in Dundee, Scotland, the freezing cold that motivated our lifestyle change, and the goal of finding our Zen or center by being around the Ocean and outdoors. Also, we were just “done freezing”. Now we live in the Caribbean and spend our free time on beaches, swimming, and scuba diving.
Our logo is composed of three main elements: a circle, the sun, and waves. These symbols all represent things that are important to us. The circle has deep spiritual meaning including notions of totality, wholeness, original perfection, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, and all cyclic movement. Like the rings we wear on our fingers, it represents eternal love and our commitment to each other. The sun gives us all life and warms us. Without it, the world ceases to exist. And the waves represents water, which also is a source of life and joy to us. The importance of all of the bodies of water on this planet cannot be understated. As scuba divers, we know more than most the incredible importance it plays, and why we have to do everything we can to protect our water sources, our Oceans, Seas, Lakes—and everything in them.
